The ASEAN International Mobility for Students Program or in short, AIMS Program is a Government to Government multilateral educational program for undergraduate students. This government-supported student exchange program was started in 2010 by three initial countries which are Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, under the name of M-I-T Programe and later renamed to ASEAN International Mobility for Students in 2013 to facilitate additional members. Until today, the members are Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Japan and Brunei Darussalam.
In the 9th AIMS Review Meeting held at Tsukuba, Japan, 2015, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu was appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.
Area Of Study
Three(3) focus of area which offered by UMT for AIMS Program are:
- Marine Science
- Environmental Science and Management
- Tourism Management
AIMS Program is a full-scholarship program which is fully funded by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia.
